HeiQ help clean off the oil from the U.S. coast?
HeiQ Materials AG, located in Zurzach / Switzerland, launched a fabric with a special surface structure that effectively prevents water, oil and other stains from adhering to the surface. Together with the German based fleece producer TWE, HeiQ has developed an oil barrier system that could help to clean up the oil from the coast of the Gulf of Mexico which has been polluted by an oil platform of British Petroleum. U.S. authorities are taking a serious look at HeiQ's new textile technology.
HeiQ Materials AG was founded in 2005 as a spin-off of ETH Zuerich, and received the CTI Start-up Label in 2006.
